Website hosting information:

NCMarine is a free hosting service for North Carolina Marine Corps League detachments and their related activities. You will recieve a specialize website address (yourdetachment.ncmarine.org) and as much bandwidth and web space as you would reasonably need. These websites are hosted by a company that promises 99.9% uptime.

Advantages of our hosting offer over the basic page the MCL National site offers includes:

1. A place to store your newsletters online.
2. A place to put unlimited numbers of event photos.
3. A message board specifically for your detachment.
4. As many yourname@ncmarine.org email addresses as you want.
5. A place for other detachments to find out about upcoming events your detachment is hosting
6. A decent web address that easily fits on a business card, yourdetachment.ncmarine.org
7. A great recruiting tool where potential members can find information about your detachment.

Package #1: Best for detachments without a skilled Web Sgt. We will set you up with a prebuilt website and then change the generic tags to indicate your detachments actual name. After that all you need to do is email newsletter and pictures to the staff of NCMarine and they will update your website for you. Most requests for website update will be taken care of within 2 days.

Package #2: If you have a active Web Sgt, and wish to design and maintain your own website. We can set you up with webspace, FTP access and/or access to your site via a custom browser interface.

Unfortunately there is no way to automate the website request at this time. If you would like to request a website, please send a email to Smitty with the following information.

Website name requested (yourname.ncmarine.org)
Which Package you request (we are limited on how many ftp accounts we can offer, please only request package #2 if you are going to use it)
Your detachment name, and commandants name. (we will verify your authenticity prior to creating the site.)
